Earlier tonight, Dr. Paul appeared on Fox News' widely watched O'Reilly Factor. Though it was a short interview and despite being constantly talked down by an aggressive O'Reilly, Ron was able to make several good points, and even got some shots in against the unnecessarily confrontational host.
My favorite part of the interview was when O'Reilly accused Paul of not supporting the invasion of Afghanistan, and Dr Paul replied "I voted for that, so you better get your facts straight" or something to that effect. O'Reilly countered by quickly changing the subject, as per his normal response to being wrong.
It was hard to gain any insight in to Ron's views, as every time he was attempting to answer a question, he was cut off twenty seconds later. Dr. Paul was able to again able to stress his views on getting out of Iraq, as well as his view as to how much of an actual threat Iran is to the United States (hardly at all).
Overall I would say it was as good an interview as one could expect with the bellicose O'Reilly. Interviewees and political advisors go into appearances on this show expecting a confrontational interview, and I think Dr. Paul did as good as anyone who doesn't completely agree with O'Reilly can expect to. At one point, Dr. Paul even called O'Reilly out saying "you don't ever give me a chance to answer the questions you ask" to which O'Reilly responded with his other standard response telling Dr. Paul he was off topic in the "no spin zone" (caps omitted)
